The Navratras has started and many of you must be observing 'Fasting' on these days. Here is a gluten free and 'Fasting' friendly recipe that also tastes delicious. Have a blessed Navratra. Click here,to know more about Navratras.
Sabudana Parathas:
Preparation Time : 6 hours ( includes soaking and draining of tapioca pearls)
Cooking time : 30 minutesServes :2
Measurement : 1 Cup = 250 ml
Ingredients:
1 Cup Soaked and drained Sabudana/Tapioca pearls
1 Medium sized Potato, Boiled and mashed
2 small green chillies
1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
1 to 2 teaspoon finely chopped/grated fresh coconut
1 teaspoon powdered roasted Peanut powder
1 teaspoon oil
Rock salt to taste
1 Cup Soaked and drained Sabudana/Tapioca pearls
1 Medium sized Potato, Boiled and mashed
2 small green chillies
1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
1 to 2 teaspoon finely chopped/grated fresh coconut
1 teaspoon powdered roasted Peanut powder
1 teaspoon oil
Rock salt to taste
Method:
1. Mix all the given ingredients in a bowl, apply little pressure and knead to make a dough.
2. Grease your hands and take small portions of the dough and flatten it using your palms. Heat a non stick tawa/skillet ,brush little oil on the tawa and place the parathas on them. Let them cook on both sides.
4. The parathas should be uniformly browned on both sides. You can see me make Sama Kheer on the other gastop.
Your Glutenfree Vegan parathas are ready to be served hot.
These were absolutely delicious, low calorie, healthy and was enjoyed by each and everyone in the family!!!
