This is a delicious recipe and is easy to make too. For those who are wondering what a 'Stromboli' means ..... it's 'rolled pizza'!!!!
I make these often and it is very convenient to pack these for lunch box and picnics.
STROMBOLI :
Preparation time : 1 hour
Cooking time 15-20 minutes
INGREDIENTS
Chopped bell peppers,tomatoes,onions,olives and vegetables of your choice.
Seasoning( your choice) i used oregano and chilli flakes
250 gms Mozarella cheese
250 gms Cheddar Cheese ( optional)
Salted Butter to brush on top
METHOD:
Let us start our preparation.
1. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide them into 4 parts. Roll each into a rectangle.
2. Spread the pizza/pasta sauce on the rolled dough. arrange the veggies and cheese on one side .Sprinkle the seasoning.
3.Now start rolling . You need to roll them tightly.
5. Once rolled, score the top using a sharp knife.In a pre- heated oven, bake the STROMBOLI for 12 -15 minutes.
Serve hot. It tastes soooo heavenly! Next time when you make pizza, do make STROMBOLI too!
