'Honey Chilli Potatoes' are very popular in any restaurant menu in India. Crispy fried potato fingers tossed in a mix of sweet and spicy sauce. Simply irresistable and delicious party starter too.

Honey Chilli Potatoes:
Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : 10 minutes
Serves : 2 to 4
2 large Potatoes ( peeled and sliced thinly lengthwise )
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
2 teaspoon white vinegar
2 teaspoons corn flour
2 teaspoons tomato ketchup
2 teaspoons red chilli sauce
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons honey
1 onion ( finely chopped)
2 garlic pods ( finely chopped, optional)

3 teaspoons spring onion greens ( chopped finely)

Method:
1. Soak the cut potatoes for 5 minutes in cold water , drain and dust them with corn flour .
2. Heat oil in a wok/pan and deep fry the potatoes till crisp and drain them in a kitchen towel.
Tip: Spread the potato fries in a tissue / kitchen towel so that they don't turn soggy.

3. In a pan, heat oil and sesame seeds and when they splutter add finely chopped onions.
4.When onions turn pink tomato ketchup, chilli sauce, vinegar and stir.
5. Quickly add a spoonful of honey and the potato fries.
6. Switch off the gas and garnish with spring onion greens.
