JALAPENO CHEESE POPPERS

Hi SUPERMOMS,

Kids love cheese. It is healthy too. The snack that I have chosen today is a tasty and melt in the mouth variety. You get the frozen cheese poppers in the store. But making it at home is so much healthier and satisfying. It is quite easy too.

You can try this with or without bread. But in my experience, having tried both, taste wise, the bread ones definetly score higher.
 Recipe  inspired by Tarla Dalal

INGREDIENTS

1.Bread slices
2. Cheese slices
3.Finely chopped bell peppers and Jalapeno peppers
4. Salt and Italian herbs
5. Maida and cornflour mixture for binding
6.Bread crumbs
7. Oil for frying

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the corners of the bread slices. Dust the bread with cornflour.Using a rolling pin, gently roll the bread slices to make it thinner.

2.Place cheese slice and sprinkle the jalapeno, pepper mixture on it.add the spices .Gently roll the bread without breaking .

3. Coat with maida ( all purpose flour), cornflour mixture on the top of the bread.

4. Now toss the bread on the breadcrumbs to coat it well. Gently press so that the bread crumbs stick well to the bread.

5. In a large wok, heat oil. When the oil is hot, deep fry the cheese poppers till it turns brown and crispy. You cut them and serve with sauce or pack them for your tiffin box.

It tastes so good hot or cold!!!! If you haven't tried it, do try SUPERMOMS!

If you want to avoid bread, then you can use the cheese slice. Add the jalapeno and bell peppers, roll, dip it in the maida, cornflour mixture. Roll it well in the bread crumbs and freeze it for atleast 2 hours. Remove and fry. This way, you can avoid the cheese from oozing out while frying.

But taste wise, the ones with bread are definetly tastier.

Do try and give me your family feedback!

So, I have actually given you all two recipes today! It is worth trying both!

You are sure to bring more smiles!

HAPPY COOKING!

With love,

MASTERCHEFMOM
