Dark Chocolate and Dulce De leche POPS|How to Make ChocolatePOPS|Stepwise Pictures





Hi Supermoms,

Making Chocolates at home is so much fun. You add your own flavours and personalise it. Dark Chocolate and Dulce De Leche ...OMG both the flavours are so delicious and combining them can make it irressistable.

The idea of making this combination came from here. I wanted to make the chocolate in the of POPS as you can lick it longer( I did not think much !!!!)

Turned out super delicious!!! I am licking the chocolate and chewing the Dulce de leche as I am sharing the recipe.

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Total time: 30 minutes
Yield: 6 chocolate pops
Ingredients
  • 250 gms or 11/2 cups(melted) Dark Chocolate Compound 
  • 100 gms or 7 tbsps melted Dulce De Leche ( DDL)
  • 2 tsps Sprinkles
  • 1/2 tsp Butter for greasing
  • 1 tsp Dry toasted nuts (optional)
  • 1 Silicon mould tray (Small for cake pops)
  • 6 Cake Pop Sticks
Cooking Directions :
  1. Grease a silicon popsicle mould and line it with sprinkles.

              
                     
 
  2. In a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate. Also add the crushed nuts( in case you are using any)

                   
  
  3. While the chocolate is melting, reheat the Dulce De leche ( caramalised condensed milk) in a microwave for      20 seconds.

                       
 
  4. When the dark chocolate is fully melted ,spoon them into the moulds. Add a tsp in each mould.

                       



  5.Now add a tsp of Dulche de Leche in each of the mould.

                         
  
  6. Now fill the mould with dark chocolate again.

                                           


  7. Insert the Popsticks in each of the mould and refrigerate till it sets. I used a foil to cover the top from getting any moisture from the refrigerator.

                            


Demould and just enjoy !! Your kids are going to love this ! 

                            
  

If you are thinking of special treats or return gifts for your little one's birthday party then DO TRY THIS!!!!

Chef Tips :

1. If you do not have Cake Pop Moulds, no worries. You can use smallset cupcake wrappers. 
2. You can also line a tray with butterpaper and pour a tsp of dark chocolate ,then dulce de leche and then top it with dark chocolate again. Refrigerate. You can wrap them individually and store it in an airtight box.
                            
                            
  
3. How to make Dulce De Leche ? Well, keep an unopened condensed milk can  ( covered in water upto  3/4 ths of it's height ) in a pressure cooker . Cook in medium flame for upto one whistle and then cook in low heat for another 25 minutes. Switch off and let the can completely cool before you open. Shall post a stepwise picture shortly.
4. You can use various shape moulds that are available for chocolate making. 
5. If you want the DDL to be completely hidden inside the dark chocolate. Then after spooning the dark chocolate ,refrigerate for 10 minutes. Then add a layer of DDL , refrigerate and then top it with the dark chocolate. That will be a neat job!

  2. Over a double boiler melt the dark chocolate chunks.Add the crushed roasted nuts if you are using.
  3. In the mean time ,melt the required amount of Dulce de Leche in a microwave for 20 seconds.
  4. Once the dark Chocolate is melted, spoon them into the mould .Add a tsp each in every mould.
  5. Add one spoon of Dulche de Leche in each of the mould.
  6. Top it with dark chocolate again.
  7. Insert cake pop sticks into each mould and refrigerate till it sets completely. Approximately one hour.
  8. Demould and enjoy!!!
