Dulce de leche | How to make Dulce de leche | Stepwise Pictures

Hi Supermoms,

'Dulce de leche'. What does this mean? Very simple. It means ' Sweet Milk' in Spanish. Milk that is caramalised and tastes like candy is called as the Dulce de leche.

Have you  tasted 'Banofee Pie'or ' Palgova' ?  No problem.if you haven't tasted it yet ..infact you are lucky. You are going to taste one of the most delicious 'toffee' EVER!!!!

If you are going to caramalise milk in the traditional way, it will take a minimum of 2 to 3 hours or more, depending upon the quantity of milk that you want to cook. I have been using this recipe for the last couple of years and it works like a charm. And the best part is it is going to take less than 30 minutes of cook .
No compromise on taste !!!

2. Pressure cook it for 30 minutes. Let it cook in medium flame for the first 10 minutes. After the first two whistles, reduce the flame to low and cook for another 20 minutes and switch off.

3. Let it cool completely. It will take a minimum of 2 to 3 hours before you open.

4. Take a spoon and enjoy 'Deliciousness'.

You can add this to your cakes, desserts, chocolates to make it more yummy!

Chef Tips:

2.You can add 1/3 cup of thick curd to this recipe and whisk well. Microwave in bursts of 30 seconds for 4 to 5 minutes. Whisk gently after each burst. Your Palgova/ Rabri is ready!!!

Happy Cooking!
