Amrakhand - Mango Shrikhand from Maharashtra

Hi Supermoms,

Mango season is here !! The best way to enjoy it is to cut and eat it just like that!!!!!

Second to that, there are so many simple, yummy recipes to try out. When you open your refrigerator, it is so comforting to see a bowl filled with Amrakhand.
Today I am sharing the recipe of this Maharastrian delight.Four ingredients and you are ready to go.

Since I had made hung curd earlier, it hardly took ten minutes to scoop out this recipe. I like to write about the Shrikand in length, but as I had mentioned earlier, I want to clear all my recipe backlog. So going to the recipe directly.

I used kesariya mangoes for this. It was quite sweet and not very fibrous. You can use Alphonso mangoes or any other Non- fibrous mangoes. Adjust the sugar quantity according to the sweetness of mangoes.

Ingredients:

Ripe Mangoes -2 ( remove the skin and chop them)
Sugar-3 tbsp ( adjust)
Hung curd- from fresh curd( I used 500 ml of fresh curd)http://masterchefmom.blogspot.com/2015/02/hung-curd.html
Cardamom powder-1/2 tsp

METHOD:

In a blender or food processor, add the chopped mangoes, sugar, cardamom powder , hung curd and process them till you get a smooth consistency.

Your Amakhand is ready.

Serve Chilled.

Happy Cooking!!

With love,

Masterchefmom
